Building and Scaling SignEasy: Story Of Sunil Patro
While on a vacation in Mexico, Sunil Patro, an IIT grad and a software engineer at Microsoft, got a call informing him about a job that he had been offered. All he needed to do was sign the acceptance letter and send it back. Simple right? Well not so much. It was like as if he was like stuck in a government office! The struggle in finding a printer, scanner and a fax machine made Sunil realize that this is a problem. This incident led Sunil to finally realize his life long dream of entrepreneurship.
And thus Sunil decided to start building a mobile app which would help users to sign and send documents on the go. That’s how he came up with SignEasy!
Sunil’s definition of success also tells us that he truly understands what entrepreneurship is all about. He says success is not just funding and scale numbers but it is the ability to understand the customer. And so having a product that actually solves the customers problems.
Consequently, he also lays importance of being “in the market” as a founder. According to Sunil the biggest responsibility of a founder is to be there in the market and understand what the customer wants. These are just a few of his growth mantras. Along with these growth tactics, he also talks about how he overcomes challenges that he has faced throughout his entrepreneurial journey and continues to scale to new heights!
The story of Sunil is truly remarkable, scaling by solving a common everyday problem with SignEasy. Listen to Sunil talk about his journey of Building and Scaling SignEasy on this episode of the Maharajas of Scale Podcast.

Nimbleness in responding to customers, is what’s going to carry the goodwill of the customer because they would know as a smaller company, we care more about their success if if they have a problem with a product, we’ll listen to them and solve it without most intentions in mind, right.
